Reading this book, explains some things left out of the canonized Biblical Books. There is also a running timetable. Towards the end, several things were clarified. The lamb was to be slaughtered, towards evening, on the 14th day, of the first month. Then the lamb's blood was used on the doorposts, and lintel, of the doorway, on the first third of the 15th. The new day began at sundown. Jesus, as the Lamb, was crucified on the 14th, then hurriedly taken down and placed in the garden tomb, before sundown, since the Passover day wouldn't have allowed any work to be performed. His blood became the blood on the doorposts, and lintel, as he was the door to eternal salvation. Just a side thought here, when the blood was placed on the lintel, it most likely dripped to the ground. Completing the head wrists and feet of Jesus.Most people accept that Jesus was crucified on a Friday and rose on a Sunday. I'm of the belief that he was crucified on the 14th, a Wednesday and placed in the tomb before sundown.Was in the tomb Thursday, Friday, and rose on Saturday, the third day, the Sabbath.Anyhow, this was an informative book, that gives an interesting account of the history of the Hebrews.

This book opened my eyes to what the church is not telling us about missing books of the Bible and the truths to the Most Highs Sabbaths and Holy Days. Jubilees is based on multiples of seven to the Most High God. 49 years is a Jubilee. The Most High also made it easy with seven days, seven months, seven years and how these account for Sabbaths and Feast days that no one seems to want to follow. The original year is supposed to be 364 days and when that's divided by 7, we have 52 weeks. 5 and 2 is 7. It's that easy and He made it like that for all mankind to follow and prosper.I recently read an article where humans are depleting the soil of minerals when farming and how we are not getting enough essential minerals in our diets. Now the Most High told us to let soil rest every seven years so that it can naturally replenish its minerals. However, misguided and ignorant man has decided to do his own thing defying the laws of the Most High that were given to us for our own good.Leviticus 25:4King James Version (KJV)4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

This is my second time purchasing the book of jubilees. I also plan on purchasing another one for someone else. This book does not stray away from sound biblical Doctrine, however it just adds to what we already know from the Bible by filling in the holes that were not explained in the Holy Bible.

Gives new insight into the Scriptures, though it was hard for me to follow sometimes, because everything is done in Jubilees time of 7 years and 49 years, but very detailed in the information that was presented. Every time I read a book that was left out of the Scriptures, it makes me wonder why was it left out. I have not found any of these books to detract from the Scriptures, but they only enhance the understanding of the Scriptures with more details about what GOD was trying to tell us, and prepare us for. Remember that the Scriptures were written for us but not to us, so these books help by giving us information that will help us to understand.

I found this book extremely interesting and informative. Like the Books of Enoch, while this book was never canonized into Western Bibles, it is a part of the Ethopic Bible, which has 81 books, instead of the 66 boobks of the Western Chritian Bible or the 72 books of the Catholic Bible. The Book of Jublies refers to time as measured from the 1st day of Creation, and it gives a lot more detail behind many characters from the Torah (1st 5 books of the Tanakh). It is very interesting to say the least, and a must read for serious theologians!

This is a good book; a translation. Historically, the Book of Jubilees was claimed to have been revealed to Moses but some claim that the book was simply a copy of the original Books of Genesis as found in the common Bible. Some label ancient books with similar stories as pseudepigrapha, material not suitable for inclusion in religious books.The Books of Jubilees, details the celebration of every Jubilee (49 years) since creation to Moses's adult life; about 2410 years. There is a lot of detail in The Book of Jubilees and I wonder how the ancient authors could have had such access to personal lives of those times. Its a good read for those interested in ancient history.

This book has been an amazingly eye opening completion to many missing parts of stories in Genesis. The book of Jasher is necessary to read as well in order to gain a fuller understanding. No wonder it's been hidden away from the rest of the Bible. I suggest anyone seeking a more complete understanding of the beginning of YAHUAH's Word read this book!

There are some typographical errors, but if you can over look this, it is a very informative read. I first read this book as a teenager because it was in my grandfather's library. He was a theologian, as was my father.

I have been a precious metals investor since 2004, and have over a dozen books with similar themes in my library. This is one of the best. Not only does it admit how the economics of gold investing have become wrapped up in politics, it describes the economic events that drive the price of gold. For example (and contrary to recent right wing ideology), some inflation is normal and constructive – since it keeps the money supply circulating (otherwise that money tends to collect in stagnant pools). This normal, constructive type of inflation tends to drive the price of gold down. Out of control inflation (e.g. from blatant currency debasement), on the other hand, will drive the gold price up. The real world of economics is not all black and white, and it’s a discussion of subtleties like these (against things such as inflation) which make this book well worth reading. Admittedly, I got lost with some of the financial jargon describing short term trading considerations (puts, calls, leverage, Fibonacci determination of support and resistance levels); but then again, I am a long term “buy and hold” (rather than a short term) investor, so these concepts are not as important to me.The one absolute false claim of the book is that owning physical gold is prohibitively expensive, and it is made at least 4 times. This is complete rubbish, and perhaps reflects what the authors sell – “paper gold” (ETFs, etc.), rather than the real thing. Frankly, I would not trust this paper gold to not represent the same ounce of gold sold to at least three different people. To the book’s credit, it actually mentions this kind of horseplay. It also mentions the all important term “bailment” in this context, but they don’t adequately describe what it really means (from the Foley vs. Hill case, circa 1848 ). While the authors go to some length to describe “BullionVault” physical gold storage facilities, a much cheaper alternative is readily available your local bank. The simple use of a safe deposit box (which costs about $40/year in my area) for physical gold storage went completely unmentioned. Furthermore, modern physical coinage (e.g., Gold Eagles, Gold Buffalos) costs around 8% over the spot price of the raw metallic gold (with approx. half as the “coin premium” charged by the mint for creating the coin, and the other half as the dealer’s commission). A safe deposit box and these coin premiums are less than most assorted investment gurus surcharge for their services (which can be a hefty amount, especially when calculated as a periodically paid percentage of your total investment) .With this one exception, if you are going to read a book about gold and silver investing – this is the one to buy.

Many books on this subject in particular are padded with doomsday underpinnings or have a "get rich quick" appeal. Not this one. If you're looking for a compact, yet thorough primer on the often nebulous world of gold by people who have done it (not just talk about it), this book is it.After reading this book I gave it to my elderly father who worked his whole life in a blue collar job only to see his retirement wiped out in 2008. He commented on how if someone would have written this book for the "common reader" 50 years ago when he began investing, his portfolio would have stood a fighting chance. I agree, and am confident that the information in this book arms me with the fundamental knowledge to make wise decisions when it comes to gold and my portfolio.Great read all around!

Professor Long's book, Jainism: An Introduction, is a thoroughly researched overview of the Jain tradition, a religion and set of philosophical constructs that have influenced Indian thought for over 2500 years. This succinct, completely engaging overview of Jainism, the historical contexts of Jain intellectual thought, and the relationship of Jainism and Jain philosophers within the greater context of Hinduism, brahminical/Vedic thought, Buddhism, and Indic philosophical movements is indeed quite relevant to understanding and appreciating the Jain communities in India and in the West.This highly-readable monograph is intended as a an introduction to the Jain tradition; and it is aimed at a college-level audience, but it is also a book with considerable relevance to any person interested in philosophy, religion, history, India, or the evolution of intellectual movements. I highly recommend this book for every reader--it is accessible, engaging, and provocative. One of the aims of the book is to put core Jain (and for that matter, Buddhist and Hindu) beliefs and assumptions about the nature and meaning of existence into an intellectual context, both historical, and applicable to modern-day societies. With an exceptionally clear explanation of core Jain beliefs including non-violence, non-absolutism (or perhaps more easily understood as religious pluralism), detachment from materialism, and the karmic cycle, the author has indeed put the evolution of Jain thought into an appropriate historical context vis-Ã -vis Buddhism and Hinduism.Jainism: An Introduction provides the historical context of the Jain founders, Mahavira, and other philosophers; and, how their intellectual thought challenged historical, philosophical movements within Buddhism and Hinduism. I found the examination of current academic thought quite well presented. The analyses of academic views concerning Jainism and Buddhism as part of the Greater Magadha culture, recent archaeological evidence, and new postulations on the influence of north Indian philosophers provide a greater understanding of core Jain beliefs, and the subsequent influence of the Jain community in India. This book argues for the relevance of Jain thought as a potential solution to many modern crises of religious intolerance, violence, consumerism, materialism, and ecological disasters that the human community continually faces. Interestingly enough, there is also an overview of how Jain thought has actually influenced modern history with a brief examination of Jain influence upon Gandhi and the Indian independence movement.It is fascinating to learn that the small Jain community has influenced Indic and world religious thought in a variety of ways, and the book provides a thorough overview of the internal logic and consistency of Jain thought over 2500 years. Professor Long presents both the historical context of Jainism, and its relevance to modern society--particularly Jain views on non-violence, religious tolerance, renouncing materialism, ecological sustainability, and vegetarianism. This is a book for academics and students - not casual readers just interested in having their curiosity and interest sated. If fact, it will likely crush any future intellectual pursuit of Jainism.Imagine if you wanted to research Protestantism and bought an introductory book to help you. What if that book taught you all about Catholicism and contrasted it with Protestantism in a condescending way. What if you had to learn the Latin word for every concept while doing it.Mind you, every critical concept of Jainism is represented in the book - if you can sift through all the other stuff about Vedic Hinduism and Buddism. I'll admit, you can't completely understand Jainism without understanding the context of when and where it originated. But for an introduction to the subject it should have been in its own chapter at the end of the book.Also, for me, it is sufficient (but not necessary) to have the Hindu word for a concept given once - in italics - when first introduced. From then on use the translation and let anyone interested use a glossary.I've seen other reviews call this book "highly readable" but found I had to work continually to keep my interest level high enough to continue reading. I wish I could recommend a book on Jainism that did appeal to me, but I'm afraid I'm done with the subject for the foreseeable future.

My view: a good book, but maybe not written at the introductory level in every chapter (especially chapter 5). I was able to read this with ease, but I have been studying in the field of religion for two decades, and have taught Jainism many times; I know it well. My reservation is that introductory, freshman college students might not find it too readable, as there are a lot abstract Jain terms. The author’s account is informed, sufficiently deep and academically responsible. He makes a defense of the Jain view of Anekantwad and Ahimsa, and links Gandhi’s own passionate commitment to some Jain values that informed the Mahatma’s ideas. I certainly liked this book, and learned from it, but I would say it may be better for those who either are at the upper college level, or who have already encountered Jainism at least once before. So – great book, but maybe not always readable by introductory students.

You can learn a lot of great principles to apply in your business by reading 40 Rules for Internet Business Success, but you wouldn't be able to read the book and know everything that you need to know to launch your own online business. In 2015, I published Email Marketing Demystified, a book which teaches the email marketing strategies I use at MarketBeat, GoGo Photo Contest and USGolfTV. I published The Ten-Year Turnaround in 2016, which teaches readers how they can achieve financial freedom in ten years or less. I also published a collection of short-form business articles I've written in a book called Business Growth Day by Day in 2016. When pondering what my next book should be about, I decided to return to my core competency of launching and growing online businesses and create a step-by-step guide that anyone can follow to build their own online business. I previously read the author's other book called The Ten Year Turnaround and while that one was well written, I definitely prefer books like this with step by step actionable information that I can get results from quickly and not just ten years from now. I also appreciate the fact that the author is not someone who has made his money only by teaching other people how to make money, but actually runs his own successful online business. That being said, I'd have liked to see more variety in examples of making money from online business rather than just the usual selling ads, e-books, content subscriptions, etc.If you are wondering about the strategies presented here are the names of the chapters:1. Selecting your Niche2. Choosing A Name for Your Business3. Launching Your Website4. Content Strategy and Content Marketing5. Additional Marketing Strategies6. Making Money with Advertising7. Making Money with Digital Products and Services8. Creating Systems and Building a Great Team9. Putting It All TogetherSo as you can see the first few chapters are pretty basic and I'd almost say superfluous since tutorials for all those things are easy to look up online for free. The last few chapters are where the actual content worth paying for are located since that is where he talks about the things that have directly made him money. Overall I'd say it's worth the price just for the content in the later chapters and if you are a complete beginner to online business then definitely pick up this book because it does a good job of structuring exactly what you need to do to get up and running.

This is THE book you need to read if you're looking to start an online business. I have been learning about building online businesses for a year and managed to get my first 3 clients and even then I learned a lot of new things from this book. There are 6 reasons why I believe this book is too good:1) Method: Matthew lays out step by step the process to start an online business. The book starts with a detailed guide on how to find a profitable idea and niche and then take it from there. The book is laid out very methodically giving you a bird's eye view of the process of starting an online business and then diving deep into each step.2) Action oriented: Unlike many books which dump a lot of information on you, this book ends each chapter with action steps you need to take before moving on to the next chapter. This is very practical and helps you get results.3) Tools and Scripts: The book gives you practical tools and scripts that you can use. For instance, there is a table you can use to jot down ideas for your business as well as criteria to rank them on so that you can find an idea for your business. The book also contains the exact e-mail Matthew uses to get interviewed on podcasts.4) Tactics: The book strikes a balance between giving you a wide variety of tactics that may suit your business and going in-depth into each one. As Matthew says in the book, he has an entire book on e-mail marketing but this book gives you enough to get your business up.5) Psychology: Being the experienced entrepreneur that he is, Matthew is able to anticipate psychological setbacks that may hold you back as you embark on this journey. He will caution you on them and offer advice on how to overcome it. For instance, as he says, when you launch your blog, your spouse and/or mom might be the only ones reading it for a while. This is normal and you need to be patient before you get traction.6) Strategy: The book gives you various strategies and ways to get visitors to your website and shows you how to decide which one is the best for you. This makes the book very comprehensive and complete.Matthew also cautions against trying to learn everything about everything before starting out - a mistake I am already guilty of. Hence, I have only read until chapter 5 for now and have learned a lot. I am looking forward to implementing what I've learned into my business and will definitely keep coming back to this book again and again!!

I purchased Matt Paulson's book as a beginner's guide, due to the good reviews that I read and the modest price for the Kindle version. I found Matt's book to be extremely practical, particularly in terms of how he laid out a discrete number of straight forward steps to get your online business off the ground. The steps were very basic and included great references and examples. What I particularly liked was the attitude that the biggest barrier to starting your own business is just 'getting started'. The process outlined by Matt makes it simple to get a running start. I subsequently purchased one of the books he recommends for further information -- Launch, by Jeff Walker. Walker's book is an absolutely excellent extension of some concepts covered in Matt Paulson's book. Whereas Matt Paulson book does a very good job of covering specific technical tactics, Launch provides a grounding in some strategic concepts that can help build your business more quickly, and amplify sales results. Together these two books provide a wealth of information. I look forward to now giving these tactics and strategies a try, in my first foray into building a business online. I like them so much that I bought a copy of each book for my son and my brother. If I don't get rich on the internet maybe they will - then they can support me in my old age.

Current, concise, and easy to follow. Paulson does a phenomenal job of demystifying the world of online entrepreneurship. It's not full of lofty promises or pie-in-the-sky dreaming or prodding to buy another of his books or upselling. Just clear and actionable advice. Loved it.

Even if you've already gotten started like me with a good online business, there were so many resources and information in this book that I couldn't stop taking notes and executing right away. It's great when an author puts all the stuff in their heads on paper and shares generously, that's what I call VALUE.

I used this book 40 years ago in college, and I still have it. I'm now re-learning Spanish along with my wife, so I bought a copy for her. It is a remarkably concise summary of Spanish grammar essentials, teaching just enough practical grammar for the reader to be able to converse. The explanation and examples are good. Brevity and clarity are the book's main strengths. The author made good decisions about what to cover and what not to cover. The actual Spanish grammar portion of the book is only about 60 pages. Most of the rest of the book is in two appendices: a 32-page list of cognates and a ten-page glossary of grammatical terms. I think these were added mostly to make the book long enough to sell. But I don't hold that against the author/publisher, because the core 60 pages are excellent.

This is the best grammar book for a beginner, and I have read several. It is concise, it is clear, and it focuses on the most important topics.Please understand there is no single perfect way to learn a language. You need multiple resources, including phrase books (Rick Steves), grammar books (this one), vocabularies, and preferably interactive software (Anki flashcards and Duolingo). With this book and the other resources, in a few months I have become sufficiently fluent to be a good tourist in Spain, which was my goal.

I do like this book. It's concise and helpful. I'm enjoying it. However my only complaint is there is no "tu" form for the verb conjugations. I mostly use the "tu" form. Maybe they use Usted more in Spain? But I'm going to write the "tu" form into the book to practice, but it's annoying to have to do that. For the price it's a good book though.

Succinctly covers Spanish grammar. The best there is!! Also, get the "Workbook in Spanish" , First Year or Second Year, depending on your level, by Robert Nassi and you'll be set.

An excellent and handy synopsis of Spanish grammar, written by an author who is obviously at home in English and Spanish--and not like so many other grammars authored by individuals who are not perfectly bilingual and introduce errors of spelling and translation inaccuracies. In addition to tables of verb conjugations, there are useful tables of other parts of speech, useful expressions for learners, vocabulary tips, plus a glossary of grammatical terms.The author has also published a companion book, "1001 Most Useful Spanish Words" in which the vocabulary is used in sentences.

Concepts of basic Spanish grammar, that have eluded or confused me for months, are crystal clear now, with this book, including reflexive verbs. Some people are able to learn a language by listening and attempting to speak it, but others of us desperately require some structure as a framework to hang all the spoken words on and make sense of them. This book is excellent for that purpose and I am so glad I found it on Amazon. I have Seymour Resnick's other book, 1001 Most Useful Spanish Words, which I also recommend.

Others are correct that the lack of the tu form is an update that we really need, but still to get such a great focus on just the pieces you need. I carry one book when I travel in spanish speaking countries, and this is it. It is lightweight and very to the point.

This is a great book for someone who already has some elementary or intermediate Spanish language learning, and wants to improve their skills. The book is organized into concise sections that make it easy to learn the concept and read a few examples. This is another great Seymour Resnick book - I just realized that this is the 4th one I own !
