Python Book:All - or almost all - the reviews for this book (numbering 35--just prior to this cautionary review) are favorable (most 5-star, nothing below 4 stars). That should be a good thing, right?--Unfortunately, however, the preponderance of these laudatory comments is - both stylistically and substantially - "of a piece" (i.e., suspiciously similar) in that they--(i) often begin with the same phrase,(ii) exemplify a seemingly templatic, serial ordering of their main "ideas" (i.e., broadly laudatory characterizations sorely devoid of specifics),(iii) commit stilted syntactical and pragmatic gaffs of a sort typically associated with non-native users of English,(iv) repeatedly praise the same features in simple and very brief (i.e., most readily composed in assembly-line or programmatic fashion) - if clumsily worded - "reviews"...In brief, then, these reviews are probably best "taken with a grain of salt" as to their authenticity as the sincere reactions of different, independent reader-commentators.Instead, they seem rather likely to have been "cookie-cuttered" by a single writer in a (self-?) promotional salvo of reviews...OR… generated by an AI avatar trained on a corpus of non-standard (i.e., regional dialect or idiolect) English... as, conceivably, might be the case were an AI author - one working in a learned "second language" - to "knock off" his own "robot reviewer" to cynically and illegitimately promote book sales on Amazon.*The outlandishly absolute DISCLAIMER of expertise, fitness for use, and liability which leads off the Kindle "Look Inside" sampler could be understood as some evidence to support the suspicion that this whole thing is a bit of a prank (albeit somewhat oddly motivated).
